The RHS were all set for a bumper show in a spacious marquee but alas this years fickle weather saw entries well down. Congratulations to all those who made the journey and put some colour onto the show benches. Those classes that had flowers were pretty well supported with some quality competition. The trophy classes had some exceptional blooms.

What happened to Lionel Richardson wonderful collection after Helen ,his widow died?
Beautiful photos and it was fun to see the Kiwi contingent too!
With regard to the Lionel Richardson collection to our knowledge Mrs.Richardson didn’t sell off the collection to any one person but sold only the odd block to a few folk. We believe after her husband’s death she issued a small list for a year or two and then we think the collection just fizzled out.
