Springtime in Sidmouth

In August 2013 we reported on the benevolence of Keith Owen who bequeathed a substantial sum of money to the coastal town of Sidmouth in order to maintain the beauty of the area he loved. Sidmouth 2016.2
Daffodil planting started in 2013 and to date around 400,000 daffodil bulbs have been planted by volunteers of the Sid Vale Association ensuring swathes of glorious yellow daffodils at every entry to the town.
One million daffodil bulbs was Keith’s amazing dream and the SVA say they are doing their best to fulfil his last wish.

In March 2016 with the blooms in full flower it is a spectacular sight and seems to be attracting a number of visitors to the town.
