The Daffodil Triangle – 2019 Events

Here are the full details of this years arrangements to host visitors to celebrate the arrival of spring daffodils in the Golden Triangle – an area on the borders of Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.

This year we have a packed programme of events throughout March for visitors to enjoy. We also have a detailed programme that visitors can purchase for £1 (plus postage and packing) in advance which contains full details on the events – E Mail:

We have a special event developed jointly with the Forestry Commission. We are developing a Centenary Glade within Dymock Forest and on the edge of Kempley. This will be launched on 1st March 2019 from the Queens Wood Car Park within the Dymock Forest.

At Oxenhall we have once again included the walk that proved so popular last year that allows visitors to see historic remains of the industrial revolution that touched this part of Gloucestershire in the Victorian Period. Details on the Newent Coalfield and Iron Ore Industry and now abandoned canals and railways feature on this walk, that also takes in magnificent Daffodil Meadows and Woodlands as well as panoramic views over the Cotswolds and May Hill.

The walks at Kempley will use routes not normally available to the public, by agreement with private landowners, as well as the famed Daffodil Way. At Kempley a Minibus will run regularly on a circular tour for our younger and older guests who cannot tackle the walks.

With events on at Oxenhall (16th – 17th March); Awnells Farm (17th March); Kempley (23-24th March), and Dymock (30-31st March) we are offering visitors an unparalleled opportunity see the Golden Triangle and the County Flower of Gloucestershire in all its glory, to sample local food, enjoy good company and join spring walks now recognised nationally as some of the best in the Country. We have also highlighted the lunch time concerts by local musicians in St Mary’s Church Dymock every Monday from 1-1.30pm in March, the Kempley Produce Market on 9th March 2019, and the Kempley Pop Up Pub on Thursday evening 21st March. The later two events are part of the fight back from rural villages in our area to replace lost services that have so decimated rural communities.
