It’s official! At the AGM of the Daffodil Society held on 7 March 2021 Ian Tyler was voted the new Chairman of The Daffodil Society.
For those of you who do not know Ian, (unlikely I know) here is his photo and part of his submission for Office so that you can better understand the experience of the candidate. and his committment to the Society.
” Having grown, shown and judged daffodils for many years and also served on the Committee in the past, over a period of 34 years in various positions from Marketing manager, Membership secretary, Joint Show manager and Vice Chairman I feel I have an in-depth understanding of how the Society is run and of its history. I therefore wish to stand for election as chairman of The Daffodil Society.”
CONGRATULATIONS IAN.
I would very much welcome Ian as the new Chairman of our society. He has a proven “track record” having served us well in many ways and for many years. I well remember his tireless work with international relations during The Society’s Centenary celebrations back in 1988. Good luck Ian.
