Lowther Hall Ceramic Daffodil Installation

Jan Dalton writes
In response to the article about the above charity art installation at Lowther Castle and Gardens, Cumbria, published in our 2023 Journal, the following may be of interest to anyone wishing to visit the display. Lynne and I visited the ‘planting’today, Thursday 27th April and found it to be quite spectacular.  We took a number of photographs of the area where the ceramic yellow daffodils are displayed and will forward copies to Camilla in due course.
We also spoke in person to  Helen Ratcliffe’s husband, who was braving the April winds, to give advice on how to order or purchase one or more of the ‘daffodils’ when the display is dismantled on 24th June 2023.  The ‘daffodils’ are being sold in aid of 6 worthy charities and cost £25 each plus post and packing.  It may also be of interest to note that Lowther Castle & Garden is a ‘Partner Garden’ with the RHS and as such, paid up members of the RHS can gain free entry on Thursdays to the 130 acre garden and grounds and see the daffodil art installation at the same time!
Please do visit if you are in a position to and please support the charities by purchasing your very own piece of the art installation.
