Past President Reg Nicholl and Past Treasurer Gwynne Davies chatting to Carlos van der Veek of Fluwel bulbs at the 2016 Breezand show in the Netherlands.This annual event is a showcase for the local bulb growing area and attracts 23,000 visitors during the 5 days it is open.

Tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and small bulbs are grown and displayed at their peak of perfection. There are many new varieties under number giving the visitor a tantalising glimpse of what is to come.The emphasis is on cut flowers and garden/container varieties rather than exhibition form and can be stunning in their size, shape and brightness.

The theme this year is fairy tales and well known characters such as Little Red Riding Hood, Puss in Boots and the Pied Pier are featured in many of the displays.
