The Late Sandra Baxter

It is with great sadness that I inform the sudden passing of Sandra Baxter this morning (29 April). Our thoughts are with Michael and family at this time. Details of the funeral arrangements will be posted once they are available.

Sandra and Michael Baxter have been very long standing members of the Daffodil Society Committee. Sandra is well known to many members as the Society Merchandise manager and will be much missed.

What very sad news. Sandra was at the Daffodil Society show on April 20 & 21 and at the DS Late competition on 27 & 28 April – diligent as ever. She was unfailingly cheerful and a pleasure to talk to.
When we had a few website wobbles Sandra would telephone to let me know and usually had a witty comment to add. I shall miss her.
Condolences to Michael and the family at this very sad time.

How sad we both were to hear of this sad news. We were both only talking and joking with Sandra Sunday afternoon at The Daffodil Society Late Show at Henry Street. Although she told us she had a chest infection she was in great spirits and made plenty of conversation with both myself, Wendy and Tracey.
Sandra always had The Daffodil Society’s best interest at heart and over the years raised much needed funds through her diligent work not just at DS shows but SEEDS, Mid Southern and elsewhere.
Sandra and Michael on Sunday once again we’re one of the last few to leave the venue. Due to Sandra’s commitments and long standing stature the DS have lost a very good active Committee Member.
We shall miss her and our sincere condolences go to Michael and his family.

We, of the Mid Southern Group, are saddened and shocked on learning that Sandra has died. I was only speaking with her at Henry Street Garden Centre on Sunday.
Sandra was a long standing, and staunch supporter of our group. At our shows she was a familiar figure busy with her merchandise and a friendly word.
Our condolences go out to Michael and family

Such sad news. Sandra was such a stalwart member of the Daffodil Society Committee and the South East England Daffodil Society Committee and gave her time so generously. I had a long talk with her at the SEEDS Show and although obviously not in the best of health, she was so cheerful and chatty. I shall miss her banter and delightful comments at the shows.
My thoughts and love go out to Michael and his family at this time.

I am sad to hear of Sandra’s unexpected death. The Daffodil Society and the South East of England Daffodil Society have both lost an active and much valued committee member. As Honorary Editor of the R.H.S. Daffodil and Tulip Yearbook I very much appreciated the work she did for many years distributing copies of the Yearbook to members of both societies. A visit to a daffodil show was never complete without a cheerful chat with Sandra and Michael to enrich the day. You are very much in all our thought at this difficult time Michael.

smile at the shows. THANK YOU SANDRA.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to Michael and Family.
