Ewhurst Horticultural Society in Surrey held their Spring Show on 6th April where Cape Cornwall was judged to be best daffodil bloom (picture below), shown by Alan Moody. The vase of three was considered so good that the judge did not specify which actual bloom won. However, the twist in the tale is that the Show also awards a Best Bloom in Show and that went to Richard Tabor for his Polgooth. We are not quite sure how that can be but ours is not to reason why! Richard does not have a photo of his bloom nor could he explain how his bloom pipped Cape Cornwall. One of life’s mysteries……
