It is with sadness that we hear of the death of Don Elder on 1 January 2024. We send our sincere condolences to Hazel and his family.

Don was someone who I had a lot of time for. Our friendship went back to the early days of Gateshead Spring and Summer Flower Shows where he exhibited and also to Dundee Spring Show where I often had the privilege to be called upon to Judge. These are days I will never forget. Don and Hazel were also keen supporters of the World Tour and took part on several occasions. Dons funeral takes place on 26th January and on behalf of all of his friends in the world of Daffodils can I say Thank you Don for your friendship and to Hazel, her family and friends we offer our condolences.
