Spring Bulb Show  –  Sunday 17th March 2013

Class 1
The Daffodil Championship Cup. 9 distinct cultivars, from Divisions 1 – 4, 1 bloom per vase.
Ivor Clark retained his title and the Daffodil Society Bronze Medal showing Impeccable, Cameo Lady, Renovator, Honeybourne, Terminator, Pink Silk, Beauleiu, Queen’s Guard and Heamoor.
2nd Alan Purnell, with Banker (this was best Bloom in Show), Park Springs, Beauleiu, Watership Down. Demmo, Dorchester, Lennymoor, Dorneywood and Corbiere.
3rd Derek Phillips. Dorneywood. Demmo, Honeybourne, Beauleiu, Pink Silk, Trumpet Warrior, Clubman, Lennymoor and Park Springs.
Class 2
Division 1, 6 blooms, 1 bloom per vase, not less then 2 and no more then 3 of the same cultivar.
1st Alan Purnell, 2 Dorneywood, 2 Beauleiu and 2 Pink Silk.
2nd David Bryant, Uncle Duncan, 2 Rathowen Gold, Corbiere, Pink Silk and St Budock.
Class 3
Rose Bowl Trophy. Division.2 and/or 3, 6 blooms, 1 bloom per vase, not less then 2 and no more then 3 of the same cultivar.
1st Alan Purnell, 3 Demmo and 3 Falstaff.
Class 4
Division 4, 6 blooms, 1 bloom per vase, not less then 2 and no more then 3 of the same cultivar.

Alan Purnell won the Jim Kerton Trophy for the highest points in show.
Congratulations to all the exhibitors who exhibited and miraculously found the blooms to make a show, when only a week before all was dome and gloom, the North Somerset Society thanks you all for your loyalty and support, you must have all grown Chrysanthemums at some time.
